The PeLeWG warmly welcomes new members to its network!

 

Membership criteria:

• Applicants have a multi-year experience and skills of working on Persian leopards, scientifically or practically (ranger, conservationist or similar), in natural or captive conditions, and can provide evidence which can be transparently checked (reports, papers, videos etc.)
• Membership is competitive and based solely on the applicant’s merits regardless of gender, education, ethnicity, religion and other personal factors
• Applicants must provide a half-page motivation letter (written in a native language or English), clearly describing the applicant’s current experience with Persian leopards
• All communication is in English, but communicating in native languages is not a barrier to join the PeLeWG
• Current members of the PeLeWG will be consulted on potential membership of the candidates
• Active communication with the PeLeWG

 

Selection criteria:

• Membership is decided four times a year by members of the PeLeWG Steering Committee
  
• If the membership criteria are met, the applicant will be invited to sign the online application and ethics forms
• Membership lasts 3 years and can be extended by invitation of the PeLeWG Steering Committee based on the applicant’s performance during his/her membership period
